
Nawab Hyder Ali Khan was a known as the nightmare for the East India Company. He was a distinguished military leader and ruler of the kingdom of Mysore in 18th century India. Rising from a soldier to the de facto ruler, he changed the picture of the Mysorean army by modernizing, employing firearms and well-trained units. He challenged the British East India Company in the first and second Anglo-Mysore Wars.
