Apple has released iOS 12.5.8 for older iPhones, eight years after iOS 12 first came out.
The update is for iPhone 5s and iPhone 6, which launched in 2013 and 2014. This means Apple is still supporting them after 13 and 12 years.
iOS 12.5.8 extends certificates so features like iMessage, FaceTime, and device activation keep working after January 2027.
