Egypt remains one of the most ancient and mysterious cultures in history. The stunning archaeological achievements of this region are unmatched in history. Two of Egypt's most mysterious monuments are the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx on the Giza Plateau. Their purpose is unknown, but they stand as architectural wonders.
The Great Pyramid of Giza, known as Khafre, is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and is considered the largest structure ever built on Earth. Its volume is 30 times the volume of the Empire State Building, and its weight is almost six million tons.
Its base covers 13.6 acres. It measures 755.75 feet (230.4 m) on each side and has an original height of 481.4 feet (147 m). More than 2,300,000 limestone blocks were used for its construction, each of which weighed on average 2.5 tons.
There was a 0.02 inch gap between the stones to allow the cement to be placed. Some stone blocks weigh almost a hundred tons. Moreover, they are so carefully processed that it is impossible to slip a single piece of paper between them.
These specifications exceed the tolerances allowed for the space shuttle cladding!
The pyramid is covered by an outer shell of 144,000 polished white limestone tiles that can be seen from hundreds of miles away on a clear day.
Incredibly, the Great Pyramid is better aligned with true north than the Paris Observatory. Its four sides are aligned with the four points of the compass with a deviation of only one twelfth of a degree.
According to some experts, this deviation is explained by the gradual movement of the earth's axis, and not by design errors. The perimeter edges of the Great Pyramid are straight, less than half an inch. And despite weighing millions of tons, the Great Pyramid sank less than an inch. Such tolerances are unparalleled in the modern era of architectural design and construction.
The nearby Khafre Valley Temple contains hundreds of stone blocks that weigh more than two hundred tons. According to Graham Hancock, “There are currently only two land-based cranes in the world capable of lifting loads of this magnitude... In other words, modern builders, with the benefit of high-tech engineering at their disposal, can hardly lift a load weighing 200 tons. So is it not surprising that the builders at Giza lifted such loads almost routinely?"
In recent decades, numerous international teams of civil engineers, architects and scientists have attempted to decipher the methods used in the construction of the Great Pyramid of Giza. However, even with modern technology, our greatest minds still cannot replicate the architectural achievements of Ancient Egypt.
So far, no records have been found describing why, when and how the pyramids and the Sphinx were built. Even more surprising is the fact that recent archaeological research suggests that the Great Pyramid and Sphinx may have been built over 12,000 years ago.
In the mythology of Ancient Egypt, we find many stories of flying "gods" who descended on the ancient Egyptians to instruct them. According to some legends, these "gods" flew on "sky disks" or "flying boats".
Due to stunning technological advances and stories of ancient flying "gods", many have speculated that the ancient Egyptians received these advanced technologies from an advanced race of aliens.
The Winged Disc of Ra
According to Egyptian mythology, the sun god known as Ra was the ruler of the universe and flew in a "sky boat." He was usually depicted with a human body and the head of a hawk. Horus, a descendant of Ra and son of Isis (the goddess of nature), was the god of the sky, light and goodness. Horus was usually depicted as a falcon or falcon's head. Horus was one of the gods who, according to Egyptian mythology, flew on the "winged disk" of Ra, "which shone with many colors," a description considered by many to be the most accurate description of a UFO in ancient history.
The description of the "winged disc" of Ra was inscribed in hieroglyphic text in a temple at Edfu, an ancient Egyptian city dedicated to Horus. The inscription is dedicated to the activities of the gods long before the reign of the pharaohs.
"So Horus, the winged measurer, flew to the horizon on the winged disk of Ra; therefore from that day he was called the Great God, the Lord of the Sky. ... Then Horus, the winged measurer, reappeared in the Winged Disc, which shone with many colors; and he returned to the boat of Ra, the Falcon of the Horizon... And Thoth said: “O lord of the gods! The Winged Measurer returned in the great Winged Disk, shining with many colors."
In the Egyptian Book of the Dead, a similar description is found in the story of the goddess Isis trying to escape from the god Set. In this story, Isis, the mother of Horus, tries to save her son's life by escaping from Set, who is trying to kill him. With the help of the god Thoth, Isis escapes from Set on a boat with a celestial disk.
“Then Isis called out to the heavens and addressed the Boat of Millions of Years. And the Heavenly Disk froze, without moving from its place. And He descended, and he was endowed with magical power, and mastered great power... And he said: “Oh Isis, thou goddess, thou glorious... I came this day in the boat of the Heavenly Disc from the place where it was yesterday... I came from heaven to save the child for his mother."
With these remarkable records of the gods of Egypt flying on the winged celestial disk and the flying boat of Ra, it is easy to understand why UFO researchers have accepted these texts as evidence of ancient visits by a technologically advanced race of extraterrestrial beings. It is also easy to understand why the ancient Egyptians worshiped them as gods. There are many other Egyptian texts which equally testify to the activity
UFO in ancient times.
According to Weldon and Levitt, sightings of UFO-like objects were again recorded by the ancient Egyptians many centuries after the construction of the pyramids.
The Egyptians, not the best scientists in those early times, also noted UFO phenomena. A papyrus record of Pharaoh Thutmose III (c. 1600 BC) mentions "circles of fire in the sky." According to the record, the circles were as bright as the sun, very numerous, and dominated the sky. A terrible stench was associated with the appearance of these fiery discs, a factor common to many contemporary reports."
